BLADETAPE GOES INDY

BladeTape at the Indy 500? That's right folks. BladeTape joined forces with Rubicon Racing's team which includes the legendary Indy driver 'Mad' Max Papis, as well as team owners Jason Priestly and Jim Freudenberg. Jim and his crew are fans of BladeTape and we here at BladeTape are proud supporters of Team Rubicon. Unfortunatley, the Rubicon car failed to qualify because of a crash (BladeTape's ad on the front nose took the brunt of the crash and if we'd had some real BladeTape there perhaps we'd have prevented further damage to the car!). We are confident that Jim and the team will have great success next year.

Driver Max Papis was selected to pilot the Rubicon Race Team entry and attempted to qualify for the 92nd Indianapolis 500 on May 25th in a car prepared to spec by Indy Pro Series meister-mechanics Sam Schmidt Motorsports.

Papis, widely regarded as one of the most versatile race car drivers in the world, attempted to make his third start in the famed "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" in a Dallara/Honda/Firestone car owned by Jim Freudenberg and Jason Priestley.

"Mad Max", as he's affectionately called by his fans, last raced over the 2.5 mile oval in May, 2006; finishing fourteenth for Eddie Cheever Racing.
